Hinke Jones - Van der Kuur  RNMH

Registered Nurse for Mentally Handicapped (1993) having done my training in the Netherlands.

I started working for Community Care Options in September 1996 as a Team Leader and I have now taken up the Nurse Practitioner’s Role.  

I have been working with adults with learning disabilities both in the community and in Institutions

B Sc (Hons) in Professional Studies in Nursing and Social Work (Learning Disabilities)

 

 

        Role of the team.....

To provide specialist input and advice on emotional and psychological issues and to monitor health needs.

Nurse Practitioners devise Behaviour Management and Risk Management Strategies. They also co-ordinate regular reviews of these strategies  in line with the service needs.

There are a total of 4 nurses (including Philip Cartwright the General Manager) who make up the 'clinical on-call ' team

Trained Therapist in Human Givens Counselling.

Phil’s role is to work closely with staff offering support and advise. He also provides counselling for all the tenants helping them overcome their worries and anxieties.

He has worked in the field of learning disabilities for 24 years in both residential and day services. He joined Community Care Options in October 1993
