Whilst the majority of Community Care Option’s activities are funded through contracts with both the Local Authority and Primary Care Trust, there is still an ongoing need to seek external funding to sustain and develop some of our other existing projects.

A major part of the Quality & Funding Manager ‘s role will be to research sources of funding ands write business plans to attract funds.

It is essential that valued services are not lost when their current funding arrangement expires. Because the services we provide are predominantly for people in receipt of benefit and are reliant on paid staff support it is extremely difficult for projects to become self funding.

Community Care Options is always looking to develop services in response to currently unmet needs and is continually exploring funding opportunities that would support innovative services for people with disabilities.
 

Profile: Vic has worked in Further Education for some 25 years, having previously worked in the manufacturing industry.  he has had extensive experience of Quality and Performance Management and earlier this year gained the MBA degree in Educational Management; his thesis based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model Standard and Total Quality Management.

Investors in Excellence is a national recognition programme. It is a rigorous programme that assesses our current ability and at the same time, encourages continuous improvement across the whole organisation.
 

Role: To Project Manage the Shopmobility Workshop including the development of training-based quality assurance systems and procedures ensuring that the objectives in the business plan are met to the satisfaction of the funding organisations. To support all aspects of the whole organisation in working towards Business Excellence, via the achievement and maintenance of the Investors in Excellence Standard. In addition to seek funding to sustain existing projects and to develop new ones
