JOHN SEDDON  Chairman (Trustee)

Before becoming involved in Disability Issues John Seddon worked for many years in the Newspaper Industry, he has extensive experience on a wide range of health and disability issues and has been chosen to Chair a number of committees dealing with local and regional issues.

John is a member of the National Institute For Clinical Excellence as the national lay member with specific responsibilities for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health

PHILIP CARTWRIGHT  General Manager

Registered Nurse for Mental Handicap (Brockhall 1985)
Registered Mental Nurse (Bolton 1988)
During his career he has always worked with individuals who either displayed challenging behaviour or mental health problems.

He has experience of working in both hospital and community settings.
Philip sees his role as developing a quality service to meet the need of individuals who display challenging behaviour/mental health problems

 

                       RAY BATES  Chief Executive      (Company Secretary)

As a carer for 38 years, Ray Bates has an intimate knowledge of the issues surrounding disability. He has previously worked as a photographer for the Bolton Evening News. As one of the founding members of both Bolton Handicapped Acton Group and Community Care Options he has had a key role in initiating and developing a range of services for people with disabilities in Bolton.

 

PHIL SCHOFIELD  Head of Care & Clinical Overview

Registered Mental Nurse

Trained Therapist in Human Givens Counselling.

Phil’s role is to work closely with staff offering support and advise. He also provides counselling for all the tenants helping them overcome their worries and anxieties.

He has worked in the field of learning disabilities for 24 years in both residential and day services. He joined Community Care Options in October 1993
